Baking Tools & Equipment
This post is a repository of my favorite baking tools, supplies, and ingredients. These are the products I genuinely love and use consistently. If there every comes a time where I am sponsored or receive any kind of commission, I will be very up front about that.
I will continue to update this page with new information, so I suggest bookmarking it so you can easily return to it whenever you have a question about baking tools and supplies!
Tools & Equipment
Baking sheets - Tried and true baking sheets that distribute heat evenly and are great for a multitude of purposes. I literally have 8 of these.
Silicon mats - These are my go to silicon baking sheets for making macarons. You can also easily find plain mats without the circles (but I like having the guide!)
Piping tips - I use an 8-10mm round piping tip when making macarons.
Large piping bags - For piping macaron batter or large amounts of frostings and fillings.
Small piping bags - For piping small decorative details.
Prep bowls - My go to prep bowls for measuring out ingredients and setting mise en place.
Turkish coffee pot - I use this to boil the sugar syrup for my Italian meringue. It’s the perfect size and even has a handy little spout to make it easier to pour the syrup into my stand mixer.
Digital scale - A crucial kitchen tool for macarons and, arguably, all baking!
Candy thermometer - For boiling the sugar syrup for your Italian meringue. It’s generally easier to use a digital thermometer, but this is a great analog option as well.
Small paint brushes - Technically, these are nail art brushes. But when you use them to paint tiny details on your macarons, they become macaron art brushes.
Fan brushes - I also really like these fan brushes for cover larger surface areas or creating a more abstract or watercolor effects
Mini cookie cutters - Great for dipping into glitter or food dye and creating imprints on your macaron shells.
Ingredients & Decorative Elements
Chefmaster Liqua-gel food color - This is my go to set! You can really combine these 12 colors to create almost any color imaginable.
Wilton gel food coloring - Wilton also makes very nice gel colors. This is a classic set.
Edible markers - I’ve had great luck with these. The colors are vibrant and the ink doesn’t run.
Edible gold paint - Sometimes you just need to add a little bit of bling, ya know?
